The Truth About Homeopathy

by naturaleco @ 2008-06-01 - 09:40:03

And so the debate continues in advance of the Wellcome Debates

Putting one side, unsuprisingly with Ernst et al is Spiked.com

And on the other, a fantastic artice, putting the side of the homeopaths...

I for one am tempted to make the journey to london for this debate, sadly, I know that my schedule is going to be prohibitive; I just hope that there is some balance in the debate, and that the "esteemed" Professor Ernst doesnt take over the floor

One of the key issues in the debate for me, has always been the response of animals to homeopathic treatment; clearly this is not a placebo response, and yet results are often remarkable

Wellcome Collection Debates

by naturaleco @ 2008-05-27 - 09:57:48

Here's some info on an upcoming debate hosted by the Wellcome Collection.

The Wellcome Collection is hosting two debates. One on the 26 June on the Best of Medicine and one on 17th July on the Worst of Medicine. The four topics up for debate in each category are being decided through a very biased website

Ernst and Baum have already nominated homeopathy as one of the four topics in Worst of Medicine. For that reason, if you live in London and want be involved, get tickets to the debate on the 17th July. The debate will be held at the Wellcome Collection in London. Tickets are free and you can get them from the Wellcome Collection website

Welcome to the Complementary Health Blog

by naturaleco @ 2008-05-26 - 14:49:26

We love using complementary methods to support and enhance health, and are driven to distraction by antagonists such as Edzard Ernst and Ben Goldacre who constantly seek to litter the headlines with attacks on natural and complementary health.

So there's no point moaning about the issues, and not responding, so this blog will hopefully over time grow to be an interesting place that looks at all the issues in a sensible fashion
